Challenge

In a data centre the engineering systems matter more than the structure: power, UPS, cooling, fire suppression and monitoring. An error in redundancy design or in the commissioning of critical systems makes the asset unfit for purpose regardless of construction quality.

Our role

Owner-side project management with particular focus on engineering systems: design coordination, control of critical equipment deliveries, document control, and commissioning planning and execution support.

Scope

• Design management for MEP and process systems
• Project controls: schedule, cost, forecast
• Long-lead equipment procurement management
• Project document control in a common data environment (ISO 19650)
• Commissioning plan and system readiness assessment
• Digital environment: project dashboard and digital registers

Results

• Engineering systems designed and accepted as one integrated complex
• Critical equipment deliveries aligned to installation readiness
• Project status available to the client daily through the digital environment
